Decades after Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton reshaped tone chasing, a now-classic amp-in-a-box pedal set a new standard for transparent overdrive. A decade later, a modified dual-sided boutique OD further transformed guitar overdrive. Used by artists like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr, and John Petrucci, these original pedals blend with any rig or transform clean tones completely. Offering both legendary circuits in one unit with unprecedented combinations, Throne Of Tone delivers vintage tonal bliss with essential controls always accessible.
Dual Voicings, Unrivaled Combos, Rig-Ready Controls
Throne Of Tone delivers unmatched control and timeless tone. Each side recreates the unique character of both original pedals with boutique gain and drive mods. The voicing selector switches between “Blues” (early classics) and “King” (boutique favorite). A gain selector adds the boutique high/low gain mod, while drive mode switches between OD, Distortion, or Boost. Each side includes a presence control for shaping upper mids. Global voltage doubling increases headroom, and FX Order Swap instantly changes pedal sequence. A top-mounted send/return jack allows inserting external pedals between sides.

Two Voicings, Two Op-Amp Flavors
Most of the WA-TOT circuit path stays the same regardless of “King” or “Blues,” but the op-amps shape each voice. “King” uses JRC4580; “Blues” uses TL072. Differences are most noticeable in Boost mode.
Premium Components for Clipping & Power
Premium clipping diodes provide cascading distortion across multiple modes. The dual voltage doubler adds headroom in boost mode without internal modifications.
